Yeshurun
has a wide range of children services that caters for all age groups.
All our services have their own kiddush each week.
We also have separate baby changing facilities.
Our younger children's service, targets up to and including school year
1. In a carpeted double room, our
experienced service-takers give our children an enjoyable and learning
experience of the Shabbos and Yom Tov services, through singing and telling
stories.
In
the Middle (intermediate) service for years 2, 3 and 4, the children are
assisted by service takers in an abbreviated Shabbos and Yom Tov service where
the children are encouraged to lead the service.
The children enjoy a sedra quiz, d'var torah or a discussion about the
weekly sedra.
Our Discussion Group, for years 5 & 6, is run weekly and has proved
very successful over a number of years. The
children are encouraged to take part in topical discussion where they are are
questioned and ask to share their views of a vast amount of topics.
All Shabbos Services usually start between
10:30 and 10:45
, depending on the timings in the main service, and finish by the end of the
main service
